Denise's TotSwap Pricing Tips
Are you having trouble deciding how to price your items? Did you end up picking up a lot of clothing that didn't sell at the last sale? Here are some tips that have worked really well for me. First, make sure you are not pricing your items too high. People are more willng to pay the higher prices for name-brand items but not clothing from Walmart, Target, etc. I found that just by lowering things $1.00 or $2.00, seemed to make a difference. If you have an outfit that you tried to sell for $5.00, make it $4.00. For a really nice dress, instead of $10.00, make it $8.00. Also, consider discounting on the last day. Toys are great sellers and if you would like to make more money on your toys, package them well. Put all the pieces in a plastic bag and tape it to the toy. Presentation makes a difference. Also, it is helpful to say things on the tag such as "all pieces included", "game is complete", "working batteries included", etc. We would to hear any additional tips you may have.
